RULES

  • STL Pickleball DUPR Leagues will follow all USA Pickleball guidelines for play.

  • All players MUST download and create a free DUPR account and join the STL Pickleball Digital Club (also free).

  • All players MUST download the free Swish App and connect their DUPR account by inputting their DUPR ID into their profile.

  • All players understand that by playing in an STL Pickleball DUPR League the scores will be submitted to DUPR, win or lose.

  • The divisions are as follows and include Individual players, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Each player's DUPR ratings are considered at the time of registration. Please note, unlike Minor League Tournaments, the team's cumulative or average rating is not considered. Qualification for a division is based on each individual player's rating.

    • Beginner/Novice: DUPR = 2.50 - 3.20

    • Intermediate/High Intermediate = 3.30 - 3.90

    • For Doubles Teams, STL Pickleball will consider allowing a player with a rating up to 4.10 as long as the team's aggregate is 3.90 or less.

  • If you do not have a DUPR rating you are welcome to sign up at whichever level you believe is appropriate. Once you play your first game and the scores are submitted, a DUPR rating will be established.

  • If a player's DUPR rating increases beyond their division's threshold, they can finish out that session as scheduled. When registering for the next session they must move up to the appropriate division. Their rating is as of the date of registration.

  • Substitutions:

    • Individual Player League - Substitutions are not required but are allowed. The sub's scores will NOT go towards the registered player's standings for that week.

    • Doubles Leagues - Substitutions are not required but are allowed. Teams can sub just one player or both players.

    • For Mixed Doubles, when subbing one player, the team is still required to be a mixed doubles team. For Women's Doubles, the sub must be a woman.

    • For Doubles, if a team has just one sub, that team's games will still be considered in the rankings

  • Standings:

    • Wins/losses are tallied each week with a playoff round the last week of the session

    • The league winners are determined by the wins/losses after the final week. The first tie-breaker is head-to-head, the second is points differential.
